From the moment I walked into my first class at Sprott Shaw College, I knew I had made the right choice. Under the exceptional guidance of Carla Hees, every learning experience mattered. Her dedication, passion, and depth of knowledge inspired me to see early childhood education not just as a career, but as a calling.

The education I received at Sprott Shaw’s Kelowna campus ignited my passion for early learning and laid the foundation for my professional journey. The program not only equipped me with the practical skills and confidence I needed, but also instilled in me the ethics and values of leadership, curiosity, and continuous growth.

Since graduating as the Valedictorian of my year, my career has flourished in ways I never imagined. I have opened a large licensed childcare centre, facilitated professional workshops in the field of early childhood education, and led ECE groups to foster collaboration and professional learning across the province. Today, I proudly serve as the President of Childcare Operations for a company that operates childcare centres across Canada.

Every achievement I’ve reached stems back to the solid foundation and encouragement I received at Sprott Shaw College. The Kelowna Campus ECE Program, led by Carla Hees, not only prepared me for success, it inspired me to help others find their own passion for shaping the future through education.

I am deeply grateful for the guidance, support, and inspiration that began my journey at Sprott Shaw.
