I was working at a grocery store.

How was the admissions process?

It was amazing.

What program did you choose and why?

I chose an education assistant, because that one was the best decision for me and for my kids, and for other kids too!

What was the environment like during your time at Sprott Shaw College?

I loved it! I did some of my schooling online and some in person, and it was an amazing experience.

Where was your practicum or co-op and how was it?

My practicum was at Star of the Sea School in White Rock. It was an amazing experience, and I was hired there after completing it.

How long did it take you to find a job after graduation?

I found a job right away, the very next day after I finished my practicum.

Where do you work? Can you explain your duties?

I work at Star of the Sea School, and I can truly say it’s an amazing place to be. I support children with special needs, and I’m also an active part of the entire classroom. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I feel fortunate to be part of such a caring and supportive school community.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Yes, I would just like to say how thankful I am for my experience at Sprott Shaw College. The program was very well organized, and the instructors were supportive, clear, and always ready to help. I learned so much, not only from the lessons but also from the practicum. It truly prepared me to work in the school system and support students with diverse needs.

I’m also proud to share that I recommended my college to a friend. I told her how amazing the program is and how supportive everyone there is. She trusted my advice and has now decided to start the same program this July. I’m so happy for her, and I’ll continue to recommend this college to others because it has been such a positive experience.
