We are proud to introduce our Interior valedictorians who graduated last week from our Penticton, Kelowna, and Kamloops campuses, marking the end of one fulfilling chapter and the start of an exciting new one. Their graduation ceremonies are the culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and growth. We are immensely proud of them and honoured to have them represent Sprott Shaw College. You can find a short excerpt from each of their inspiring valedictorian speeches below.
Congratulations Class of 2025 – you did it!
Penticton Valedictorian: Helia Farhoodi – Early Childhood Education

Helia Farhoodi, our valedictorian representing the Penticton campus, shared her immense gratitude for the people who supported her, including her loved ones, instructors, and campus staff, and also congratulated her fellow graduates on their hard work and success.
“The road ahead may be filled with uncertainty and challenges, but it is also full of boundless possibilities. The lessons we’ve learned here, both inside and outside the classroom, have prepared us for whatever comes next. The future is ours to shape, and I have no doubt that we will continue to make an impact on the world, just as we’ve done here.”
Kelowna Valedictorian: Inderpreet Kaur Sandhu – Early Childhood Education
Inderpreet Kaur Sandhu, our valedictorian representing the Kelowna campus, reflected on her path to graduation and thanked the loved ones, faculty, staff, and classmates that supported the graduating class on their journeys.
“As we stand on the threshold of what comes next, we may find ourselves feeling excited, nervous, and uncertain. The path ahead is not yet drawn – but that is what makes today so powerful. In our time at Sprott Shaw College, we have learned much more than what meets the eye – thinking critically, questioning with intent, and leading with empathy are a few of the lessons that will stay with us today and beyond.”

Kamloops Valedictorian: Miranda Gray – Medical Office Administrator – Health Unit Clerk

Miranda Gray, our valedictorian representing the Kamloops campus, dedicated her speech to her fellow graduates. She emphasized her pride in their hard work, accomplishments, and bravery for pursuing their dreams.
“You invested in yourself, which is hands down the best thing you can do for yourself. You invested your time and money, sure, and you also invested so much more, internally. You invested hope in the outcome.”
