How was the admissions process?
The admissions process was smooth and supportive. The advisors were very helpful and guided me through each step, from document collection to interview and acceptance.
What program did you choose and why?
I chose the Practical Nursing Diploma program because I’m passionate about healthcare and want to support people in need. This program is a strong first step toward becoming a nurse in Canada.
What was the environment like during your time at Sprott Shaw College?
So far, I’ve only started with online courses, and the experience has been positive. The instructors are supportive, and the materials are clear and easy to follow. I’m excited to start classes on campus soon.
Where was your practicum or co-op and how was it?
I haven’t started my practicum yet. I’m looking forward to gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare setting as part of the Practical Nursing Diploma program.
How long did it take you to find a job after graduation?
I haven’t graduated yet, but I’m confident the program will prepare me well for job opportunities after I finish.
Where do you work? Can you explain your duties?
I’m currently a student and not working in the field yet. Once I graduate, I hope to work in a hospital or long-term care home, providing care and support to patients.
If you could give advice to someone coming to Sprott Shaw, what would you say?
Stay organized, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to reach out to your instructors. The support is there, you just need to use it. Stay motivated and believe in yourself!
